Hi, I'm Steve
A lot of you will know me from working for Neil Sloan in Waipukurau.
What you probably don't know is I completed my motor trimming apprenticeship in 1985 with Len Shailer Ltd in Palmerston North and have worked for Paul Yerex in Rotorua & Beacham Jaguar in Havelock North. In 2003 on a whim I saw an advert for an exciting new opportunity to work for one of the most iconic and best names in the region. My family and I moved to Waipukurau to work with Neil at Sloans Saddlery. 20 years later, I almost consider myself to be a local.
Throughout my almost 40 years in the trade, I have mastered
- Motor Trimming
- Furniture Upholstery
- Shade sails
- Farm and Boat
- Squabs and Caravan fitting
Just to name a few.
Many thanks for all the support, from CHB locals and abroad. Make sure to check out my albums to see a full range of what I can do
What I Can do
Canvas and PVC Work
Shout out to CHB district council for partnering with us to upgrade the shaded seating at Waipawa pools over winter.
Furniture Upholstery
Have a sentimental family piece in need of some TLC?
Cushioning collapsed in your favourite chair?
Not only can I recover, but I can replace or repair springs
and foam cushioning to breathe new life into any and all
furniture.
These Beautiful dining chairs are covered with "Parrots of Brazil" by Malcolm fabrics. Linda knew the exact fabric she wanted and so we made it work.
Auto Upholstery
Yes I do boat covers, and all marine upholstery. From full motor trimming restorations to renewing/repairing farm vehicles. Seat restoration, headlinings, door panels, covertibles, campervans, floor mats etc, there is nothing in a vehicle I cant do.
